SP2000 

The SP2000 pneumatic presser - bead breaker is recommended above all for operating on extra low profile tyres and racing rims in light alloy, and especially on wheels fitted with pressure sensor. The bead is broken by the gradually increasing pressure and penetration of the disc against the tyre bead as the wheel is rotating; the bead breaker disc never touches the rim. What’s more, the programmed bead breaker arm travel stroke ensures absolutely no tyre damage, a feature recognised by the leading constructors. The SP2000 also greatly simplifies other procedures, such as mounting of the tyre’s top bead or demounting of the bottom bead, thanks to the assistance provided by the disc support arm. Quicker operation, more protection for the rim and less effort for the operator: these are the glowing credentials of the only pneumatic rotary bead breaker on the market. To further enhance its potential, it can be combined with other accessories designed for specific requirements, such as the SX1000 bead lifter or the KDP kit for PAX wheels.

PU1500

The PU1500 is a pneumatic power unit that can be installed on the left-hand side of the tyre changer in combination with three different accessories to cover the operator’s main needs when working on particularly demanding tyres (e.g. low profile, run flat etc). The PU1500 can be installed on either tilting column or swinging arm tyre changers, even if already fitted with SP2000. The independent accessories which complete the power unit and provide its functions are the bead presser and rim clamping kit, the bead lifter kit and the PAX SYSTEM wheel kit.

 EVA Bead Breaker

THE introduction of a new design for truck wheels, the External Valve Aperture/Hole (EVA/EVH) type has presented particular difficulties for anyone handling them. These type of wheels look very much like a standard 22.5" truck wheel, but on closer inspection it will be noted that the valve hole is situated in a different place and that a safety hump has been introduced. It is the presence of the safety hump that has made tyre removal extremely difficult especially when attempting to break the bead. The Apaseal EVA Bead Breaker is a simple and robust device that clamps on to the nave of the rim and is secured by two bolts. With the device in place and the reaction tongue located under the rim of the wheel the blade is in position on the edge of the sidewall by the bead. By using a 3/4" ‘L’ bar on top of the screw thread, simply winding down completes the operation. Unlike some alternatives on the market the Apaseal EVA Bead Breaker is very smooth and quick, the whole operation takes about three minutes and is a very effective means of solving this particular problem. To accompany the EVA Bead Breaker Apaseal have introduced a new valve specifically designed for the EVA wheel type.
