THE Bag-it tyre safety device is a lightweight, compact and totally portable means of protecting operators from the dangers associated with tyres exploding under inflation. Used on-site or on the roadside this unique product is designed to defuse the force of an exploding tyre whilst containing the cloud of dirt and debris, including steel-cord, which are projected at high speed and are a particular hazard to unprotected face and eyes. In this respect, the Bag-it provides better protection than a fixed safety cage which cannot control this spray of small particles. Bag-it is made from high impact fabric with elasticated shock cord at the front and a draw-string at the rear. Before inflation, the Bag-it is placed around the tyre and secured by means of the drawstring. Should the tyre explode, the Bag-it expands and the openings allow the initial blast to escape, diffusing the shock of the explosion, whilst any projected debris is contained. This product has been rigorously tested in the UK and the USA and excellent results have been achieved. Bag-it is the only product that provides protection from the force produced by a compressed air explosion. Aimed at the commercial tyre market Bag-it will fit all common sizes, it can also be supplied in smaller format to give the tyre installer full protection when working with larger or smaller tyres.

RIC CLIP
Re-usable Wheel Nut Security System
The RIC CLIP security system is fitted over adjacent wheel nuts; 5 clips being required on a 10 Stud Hub. It is inexpensive and no special fitting tools are required. It is fitted over the nuts and locked by hand or with a pair of pliers. It takes only minutes to fit an axle set of RIC CLIP and is available to fit all standard wheel nut fixings. The RIC CLIP locking action makes ingenious use of antirotational forces. If a nut tries to loosen, the spiral action spring gripping it is wrapped even tighter. It is virtually impossible to slacken the nut with a spanner and yet it is easily removed when the two arms are unlocked and pulled apart. The RIC CLIP does not damage wheel nuts and it is re-usable, having years of useful life. It is protected from the weather by a special hard wearing coating. A full operational manual is available to users of RIC CLIPS.
How RIC CLIP works
Figure 1
Clip shown as received. (Shape may vary). The locking arms are opened by holding at A and B and pulling in the direction of the arrows. This increases the inside diameter of the spring coils, allowing the clip to be fitted over the wheel nuts.

Figure 2
Clip pushed over adjacent wheel nuts and locking arms released. This provides anti-clockwise resistance to nut rotation. (Clockwise for left hand nuts).

Figure 3
The locking arms are now locked over each other by hand or with pliers. This wraps the spring coils tightly round the nuts providing full anti-clockwise resistance to nut rotation. (Clockwise for left hand nuts).

The RIC CLIP is intended to stop nut rotation in service and to damp out any vibration frequency in the nut/stud. When fitted, any attempted loosening rotation of the wheel nuts actually increases the locking action of the RIC CLIP.

AP07500 & AP07501
These are for use on vehicles using the 80 degree conical wheel fixing (mainly older UK vehicles) and the large spigot type (later UK vehicles). AP07500 would be used on the near-side only (left hand threads) and AP07501 could be used on both near-side and off-side if right hand threads only have been used on the vehicle wheel studs.
AP07502
This clip is normally for use on vehicles using the spherical nut seating type of fixing and the small continental spigot type. (Both types commonly found on European (non-UK) vehicles.
AP07505 & AP07506
These are for vehicles with 8 stud wheel fixings, e.g.. the Leyland Freighter, Ford Cargo 08 and 10 series and Renault Midliner S13- 150 (Right hand only). AP07506 would be used on the near-side only (left hand threads) and AP07505 could be used on both sides and off-side if right hand threads only have been used on the vehicle studs.
AP07507 & AP07508
These are for vehicles up to 8 tonnes GVW which use six stud wheel fixing such as Leyland Roadrunner, Ford Cargo 07 and 08 series and Mercedes 814. AP07508 would be used on the nearside (left hand threads) and AP07507 could be used on both the near-side and off-side if right hand threads only have been used on the vehicle wheel studs.
IMPORTANT
Always ensure that the correct Ric Clip is used, as determined by the thread type and across flats dimension of the nut to be secured.
