Lead Free Balance Weights
Apaseals range of lead-free wheel balance weights are made of a fine zinc alloy and are fully coated to eliminate any corrosion and fully comply with the standards required by the various vehicle manufactures. The weights can be applied, using the same tools as for the lead weights. Material identification: Zn (Zinc).

AC05 Individual Adhesive Weights
This weight type is made of a fine zinc alloy in a special production process. The weights have a height of 5.8 mm incl. tape and a width of 15 mm. They are fitted as OE by Audi, BMW, Daimler/Chrysler, Ford and Nissan. They can also be fitted to other vehicles, if there is sufficient clearance between brake calliper and rim.

These weights have a height of 3.8 mm incl. tape and a width of 19 mm. These weights are used as series parts at VW/Audi and Opel Vauxhall. They can also be fitted to other brands, if there is sufficient clearance between brake calliper and rim.

This weight type is especially designed for Daimler/Chrysler steel and alloy rims. It replaces the two-piece weights type 224 and 230
The following combinations should be considered:
DC steel rims weight type 261 combined with clip ZW84806. DC alloy rims weight type 261 combined with clip ZW84807. It has to be considered that DC for example has approved two-piece weights only for certain models of their alloy rims. All other alloy rims have to be provided with the adhesive weight AC05. The weight sizes 5 and 10 Gram are made of plastic (PP). To mount the weights on the rim, our special tools type BW08416 and BW08417 are required. This weight replaces the two-piece weights applied by almost all German vehicle manufacturers (except for DC) to steel and partiAlloy also to alloy rims.
Following combinations should be considered:
Ford PAG: Weights no. 260 (Alloy rims) plus clip ZW84804. Audi AG: Weights no. 260 (Steel rims) plus clip ZW84801. VW AG: Weights no. 260 (Steel rims) plus clip ZW84804. BMW AG: Weights no. 260 (Steel rims) plus clip ZW84801. BMW AG: Weights no. 260 (Alloy rims) plus clip ZW84802. The above indicated weight/clip combinations are also valid, if platforms of the same design are used at foreign plants of the above manufacturers (eg VW AG Skoda, Seat etc.). It has to be considered that BMW has approved two-piece weights only for certain models of their alloy rims. All other alloy rims have to be provided with the adhesive weight AC05 or AC20.
